This is nothing like actually being at the wedding

This past Saturday was my sister-inlaw, Adrianne, and new brother-inlaw Rob’s wedding. We originally had planned on bringing Kiley with us to the wedding in NYC. We knew that she wouldn’t last long but it would have been nice for all of the family who either has not yet seen her or who hasn’t seen her in a a while to get a chance to spend some time with her. Unfortunately, the Swine Flu is going around so much in the NYC area and an infant just shy of four months probably  does not have the immunities needed to fight off such an ugly strain of flu. My parents (God love them) offered to stay home with Kiley and our dog Monkey. I wish that everyone could have enjoyed the weekend long party but my parents also enjoyed themselves at home with the baby. These pictures were taken by my parents and are of Kiley in the dress that she would have been wearing were she at the wedding. Doesn’t she look so pretty?

Kiley Sleeping. Does this surprise you?

Kiley is a blessing is many ways and one way that she makes mommy and daddy very happy is that (knock wood) she usually sleeps through the night. She will usually go down for a good 7-9 hours which, I have been told, is really unheard of for a 3-month old. Granted she does go to bed early so Marissa is usually up somewhere between 5 and 7am with her. It is nice though to have some time where we can do things for ourselves. I don’t have many pictures of Kiley while she sleeps through the night as I wouldn’t want to wake her, but we do have quite a few pictures of her sleeping at other times. When we put her in her car seat for a drive or a walk she is usually out within the minute. She also likes to snooze in her swing and vibrating chair. Here are some pictures of these occasions. She has finally found here blanket.

That is more like it. Now lets start from page 1

Mallory the monkey is a fairly new friend of Kileys. She will sit and converse with Mallory just as she does with her doll. However, Mallory must have an attitude or something because the conversations can turn ugly quickly. Now I can’t hear what Mallory has to say but some things obvioulsy do not sit well with Kiley. But she loves the animal. You will notice that Mallory has a blue ring on her head. This is to attach her to things for storage or playing.  The other day Kiley somehow got the ring on her upper arm (I guess so that Mallory could’t get away). God I love my daughter.

Kiley loves her new sit and play courtesy of Lee and Gwen. This is the Easter present that she got. She can spend minutes just cooing and playing with the John Deer style sit and play, complete with ‘Ol McDonald music.
